Welcome to my mopar website.
I set up this website to basically document in a stream of consciousness way my acquiring and the continuing restoration of my (and my wife and kids) 1969 Plymouth Road Runner.
How I started.
Ever since I was a kid I have loved cars, I remember watching Richard Petty driving and winning in his Plymouth or Dodge and I was hooked to mopar.
My Dad had a 1970 Plymouth Fury 111 convertible and it was the coolest car on the block to my 10 year old eyes.
I must admit I am getting into the classic car game rather late in my life mostly due to my family moving around a lot and my finances, I did take a detour with motorcycles cuz there cheep and a lot of fun to fix up. My pride and joy is my 1985 Yamaha RZ 350RR, this bike is very trick and for racing only it is not legal for the street, it puts out around 70bph and the power band is between 5000 and 7000 rpm a real light switch and yes it will put you on your ass before you can say Wayne Rainey.
The Road Runner
I myself am in my 40’s and I am married to a wonderful person and I now have 2 kids my son who is 4 years old and a daughter who is around 2, I love them madly and everyday is something new, my wife and I are just catching up on our sleep.
I mention this because I bought the car and it needed a lot of prep work just to get it to the bodywork stage more on that in my Road Runner page.
Right now my focus is my family and the car comes a distant second and this is the way it will always be and I am fine with that, I bought the car with the hopes that my son or daughter might take an interest and work on it with me. Again more on that in the RR page.
Misinformation.
This website is made up to let me rant and to share any information I have gathered restoring my car, the people I have met and the advice I have been given both good and bad.
If you have ever been on a chat page everybody gives there advice like its handed down from god this is just the way I see things and what makes sense to me at the time its just my opinions so please, if you don’t agree with what I say don’t take offence you are not an expert until you make all the mistakes.
